Physical Security
Physical security is the foundation of any security system. We supply and install security doors, fixed grilles, reinforced walls and constructions that delay and prevent break-ins.
What is physical security?
Physical security is about creating physical barriers that delay or prevent unauthorized access. While electronic systems like alarms and cameras alert and document, it is physical security that actually stops intruders. A well-secured building combines both – electronics that alert early, and physical barriers that provide time for response.
Classification of security doors and walls
Security doors and walls are classified according to European standard EN 1627, which specifies resistance to break-in attempts. The higher the class, the longer it takes to break through.
RC2 (Resistance Class 2)
Basic security against casual break-in attempts with simple tools like screwdrivers and pliers. Suitable for homes and office premises with low risk. Resists attack for minimum 3 minutes.
RC3 (Resistance Class 3)
Increased security against more targeted break-in attempts with tools like crowbars and pry bars. Suitable for commercial buildings, shops and homes in exposed areas. Resists attack for minimum 5 minutes.
RC4 (Resistance Class 4)
High security against experienced burglars with heavy tools like sledgehammers, axes and battery-powered tools. Suitable for valuables storage, gun rooms and other high-risk areas. Resists attack for minimum 10 minutes.
RC5/RC6 (Resistance Class 5-6)
Highest security level for critical infrastructure, banks, data centers and military installations. Resists attack with power tools like angle grinders. RC5 resists for 15 minutes, RC6 for 20 minutes.
Areas we assist with
We supply and install physical security tailored to your needs and risk assessment.
Door replacement
Replacement of existing doors with security doors of desired resistance class. We supply doors from RC2 to RC6, adapted to the building's architecture and security requirements. Includes frame, leaf, lock case and fittings – all certified and tested as a whole.
Wall and ceiling reinforcement
A security door is only as strong as the wall it sits in. We build and reinforce walls and ceilings with materials that provide corresponding resistance class as the door. This includes steel plates, reinforced concrete and special constructions for security rooms and valuables storage.
High-resistance garage doors
The garage is often a weak point in building security. We supply garage doors with high break-in resistance, designed to withstand tool attacks. The doors can be integrated with access control and alarm for comprehensive security.
Fixed grilles
Fixed security grilles for installation in windows, hatches and other openings that need protection. The grilles are designed to resist tool attacks and can be supplied in various designs to match the building's aesthetics. A cost-effective alternative to window replacement.
